1991-93. Richard became a father to Rachael (b.1991) and Daisy (b.1993).
1993. Group shows 'Wild' at Ikon Gallery (Birmingham), and Benjamin Rhodes Arts (London).
1996. Solo show at The Economist Building (London).
Children's book 'Almost Famous Daisy' was published (the first of many self-illustrated children's books) for which he was shortlisted for the Mother Goose Award for newcomer to children's book illustration.
1997. Published 'Monsieur Thermador: A Fantastically Fishy Tale' (illustrated by Lindsey Kidd)
1999. Began showing paintings regularly at the Stour Gallery (Shipston on Stour).
Published 'The Giant Goldfish Robbery' and was awarded the Branford Boase Award.
